Emmy 2017: ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’, ‘Westworld’, ‘Feud’ e ‘Big Little Lies’ lideram indicações

Nesta quinta-feira (11) Hollywood parou para saber quem são os indicados ao Emmy 2017, premiação mais importante da televisão norte-americana, que acontecerá no dia 17 de setembro. Esta edição é marcada pela ausência de Game Of Thrones e com a boa impressão de sua provável sucessora como carro-chefe da HBO: Westworld. A série sobre um velho oeste para os ricos está concorrendo em 22 categorias, incluindo Melhor Série de Drama, Melhor Ator de Drama e Melhor Atriz de Drama.

A notava The Handmaid’s Tale também surpreendeu com 13 indicações. Está brigando com peixes grandes como Westworld e House Of Cards pela estatueta de Melhor Série de Drama. A produção também entra na briga pela Melhor Atriz de Drama, Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante de Drama (com dois nomes) e Melhor Atriz Convidada em Série de Drama com Alexis Bledel. Aliás, esta é a primeira indicação da atriz (você quer, Rory Gilmore?).

Stranger Things é outra novata que causou boa impressão na academia. A série está com 18 indicações, incluindo Melhor Série de Drama. A nova queridinha de Hollywood, Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), concorre em Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante de Drama. Winona Ryder, entretanto, que era uma das apostas para a lista de estatuetas, não foi indicada.

Falando em Stranger Things, mais uma vez a Netflix despontou com indicações. Enquanto em anos anteriores, o serviço de streaming lutou um pouco para emplacar estatuetas, neste ano tem chances reais nas principais categorias. House Of Cards, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Grace and Frankie, Master Of None, The Crown, Orange Is The New Black, Bloodline e Black Mirror sublinharam o nome da plataforma nas listas.

Minisseries

Este ano não teve American Horror Story nas indicações, mas teve outra produção de Ryan Murphy: Feud. A temporada que conta a briga entre Bette Davis e Joan Crawford está em 18 categorias. A produção é cotada como Melhor Série Limitada e as duas protagonistas concorrem a Melhor Atriz em Série Limitada.

A única preocupação de Feud e Big Little Lies, a minissérie da HBO estrelada por Nicole Kidman e Reese Witherspoon. Aliás, as duas estão na briga pela estatueta de Melhor Atriz em Série Limitada. Além delas, outras duas mulheres do elenco concorrem em Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante em Série Limitada. Ao todo, são 16 indicações para esta produção.
